A loyalist arms bess from India will spark as well as my custum lock, at least mine does. They offer more models and are as close to original as Perdisoli. The wood is not walnut.In the cannon you show the breech block is inserted making it a complete gun. The breech block is loaded from the muzzle end. A Ferguson is a good example as a breech loader the ball is inserted into the breech then the powder. Assuming the flint is being held tightly so it doesn't move when it strikes the frizzen. Some of the TC rifle and some of the Pedersoli's come with a hole already there, but of not, do not panic, it's an easy 5 minute job to drill and tap a 6/32 or 8/32 hole.
